Granada has three monuments that concentrate the city's passage from the Muslim world to the Christian one: the Royal Chapel, mausoleum of the Catholic Monarchs, Granada Cathedral, the first Renaissance cathedral in Spain, and the Madraza, the old 14th-century Arab university. The guided visit covers all three in three hours, with tickets included.
ITINERARY OF THE GUIDED VISIT TO THE CATHEDRAL, ROYAL CHAPEL AND HISTORIC CENTRE

The route starts in Plaza de Bib-Rambla, next to the Fuente de los Gigantes. From there we pass through the Alcaicería, the old silk market of Muslim Granada. Next we visit the Royal Chapel, built by order of the Catholic Monarchs in 1504, home to the tombs of Isabella I, Ferdinand II, Joanna I of Castile and Philip I, along with a collection of Flemish paintings belonging to Queen Isabella and her personal objects in the sacristy-museum.

From there we enter the Madraza, the Arab university founded by the Nasrid sultan Yusuf I in the 14th century, which preserves one of the best-preserved Nasrid coffered-ceiling halls in Granada. The route ends at Granada Cathedral, raised in 1523 on the site of the city's great mosque and the first Renaissance cathedral in Spain, with five naves and a circular main chapel.

Meeting point
Plaza de Bib-Rambla, next to the Fuente de los Gigantes. We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start time.
Accessibility
The visit is accessible for people with reduced mobility. In that case the route starts at the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel is reached from there. Neither the Royal Chapel museum nor the Cathedral sacristy is accessible in this format. The toilets of neither monument are accessible. Pushchairs are no problem for the visit.

The visit is suitable for families with children. Pets are not allowed.

We did the Alhambra and Palacios Nazaríes tour and were incredibly lucky to have Amelia as our guide. From the very beginning, she gave us such a warm and organized welcome, she knew exactly who was in her group and took the time to have everyone introduce themselves, which immediately made the experience feel personal and comfortable. Her knowledge is exceptional, but what really sets her apart is how she explains things. She makes history so easy to understand and genuinely interesting. One moment that really stood out to me was the way she explained the wooden ceilings, something I would have completely overlooked on my own, but she made it fascinating. Amelia is energetic, funny, incredibly patient, and very caring. She constantly checked in on everyone, made sure we were comfortable, and never made the tour feel rushed. The pacing was perfect. Even if someone needed a quick stop, she made sure everyone felt included and taken care of. One of the things I appreciated most was how engaged she kept the group the entire time. She has a natural way of making everything feel alive and enjoyable, not like a typical “information-heavy” tour. She also went above and beyond by helping us take photos and pointing out the best photo spots, which made a huge difference. On top of that, she gave great tips at the end for places to eat and additional spots to visit within the Alhambra. Honestly, if I had done this on my own, I would have missed so much. In just a few hours, I learned and experienced far more than I ever could have by myself. I left feeling truly grateful. I recommend this company and Amelia 3000%, the tour was absolutely amazing.

View on Google MapsThis tour should not been taken by anyone who is not in pretty good physical condition as there are a LOT of steps and lots of walking. That said, this two part tour was brilliant. Both guides we had were friendly and very knowledgeable and made the tours interesting. We took the bus (C32) from the Isabel la catolica stop and got it back to the same stop. You can walk but we were so tired after the tour we decided not to. Definitely a tour we would recommend.

Besides giving us history lessons and stories, she also offered tips and places to go for food and scenery. All in all, a very pleasant and enjoyable tour. Love to do it with her on another tour.
